Mentorship Program

At Salem Jump Rope, some of the most valuable lessons learned through sports happen through relationships. Mentorship is a vital part of the team culture because it helps every athlete feel valued, supported, and promotes a growth culture.
How it Works
Experienced team members who have been on the team for at least one year may have the opportunity to become mentors. Coaches evaluate students based on skill readiness, character, responsibility, and leadership before recommending them for this role.
Â
Mentors are paired with younger teammates and provide one on one skill support, encouragement, and guidance at practices. Beyond jump rope, they model positive character and help create a welcoming team environment.
